Course content
|
Familiarization with the basic rules and requirements for the preparation of a diploma thesis according to the recommended style of qualification theses of the Department of Biochemistry PřF: structure and scope of work, description of methods and results, choice of appropriate visualization of results, citation rules, instruction on plagiarism. Elaboration of the presentation as a basis for the defense of the diploma thesis. Presentation and discussion of the summary of the theoretical part, methods and results. Practical verification of own oral presentation skills. Strengthening students' communication skills and engaging in discussion on a professional topic.

Learning outcomes
|
Preparation of the completion of the diploma thesis and its defense, including a critical evaluation of the obtained results, and the presentation of a prepared summary of the theory and results of the thesis.
Evaluate experimental methods and procedures, explain and discuss results in context with already published information. Ability to prepare a presentation of the theoretical basis and work results, ability to present the results of student projects.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student
The condition for obtaining credit is 100% participation in the seminar, including active participation in the discussion of the presented topics. Elaboration of the presentation that will be the basis for the defense of the diploma thesis, and its oral presentation.
