Course content
|
Mendelian basis of genetics and its aplication. Chromosomal background of inheritance and its aspects. Gene linkage, crossing over, linkage mapping and mapping population. Associate mapping. Cell nucleus, chromatin, size of nuclear genome and its changes. Molecular basis of gene, structure of genetic information. Mutations, basis of mutagenesis and its consequences. Methdology in study of chromosomes and analysis of genetic information, sequencing and genome analysis. Epigenetics.

Learning outcomes
|
Principles of genetics focused on aspects of classical genetics - mendelism and its imlications, morgan theory and its consequneces and aplication, molecular aspects of gene and genome structure and gene expression; and current trends in genetics.
Student will be able - to summarize genetics knowledge - to explain genetics techniques - to conduct scientific discussion in broader context of the whole discipline
