The effect of xenobiotics and their mechanism at the molecular level (pharmacodynamics) is discussed, as well as, the fate of xenobiotics in human organism (pharmacokinetics, respectively toxicokinetics). Individual groups of psychoactive compounds, significant noxae in acute intoxication, overdose drugs, abuse are discussed. A description of the methods of analytical toxicology is given regarding their limitations related to the nature of analytes and biological material (the systematic toxicology analyse of unknown noxa).
