Course content
History of forest management. Non-wood-producing roles of the forest. Stand structure (age structure, spatial arrangement, species composition). Forest tree breeding, seed production, nursery management. Reforestation and forest regeneration (natural and artificial regeneration). Stand tending (cleaning and thinning). Forest pest management, storm protection. Forestry of protected areas. (Role of the forest in the landscape)
