Introduction to the problematics of nature protection in the selected protected landscape areas and national patrks of the Czech Republic.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with one of the subjects of current nature conservation (National Parks and Protected Landscape Areas). Students will be introduced to classical and modern concepts in a practical nature and landscape protection in the Czech Republic, those allow to illustrate the complexity of the problems of nature conservation as a whole.
Students will learn practical principles of landscape and species conservation during field excursion through Czech large-scale protected areas (KRNAP, PLA Jizerské hory, PLA Jeseníky etc.)

Prerequisites
|
Fundamental knowledge on conservation biology, its legislative framework in Czech Republic, conservation management and geography of the Czech Republic.
