Course content

The introduction lecture which introduces the problematic of environment, basic terms and relations, both up to date regional and global problems of environment from biology point of view.

The course aims at presenting actual information and procedures from the branch. Major approaches, conceptual and theoretical topics are listed in syllabus.
Knowledge, Comprehension, Synthesis At the end of the course the student is expected to: - have thorough understanding of the major issues of global environmental problems - be able to judge the causes and consequences of major problems as examplified by water sources, soil and biodiversity protection - comprehend the basic problems of Czech Republic in a context of those global problems

Elementary knowledge in ecology, biology and geography.
