The subject is based on practical activities of the Sluňákov Ecological Education Centre, under Olomouc Town Council. Students will become acquainted with environmental education activities, especially those for school children, but also for the public in general (leadership of teams, organizing children's summer camps, weekend events and ecology-focused evening programmes for the public). Students will also learn about preparation and organization of the "Olomouc Ecological Days" festival. Attention is also paid to other ecological projects (e.g. Sluňákov Educational Biocentre project). The seminar provides space for activity and creativity from the students themselves. Students also take part in a concrete programme for school children. Within the school-term range of sets of questions is on offer, forming the basis for open discussions on protecting and shaping the environment. References will also be made to sociological and philosophical aspects of problematic communication between ecological movements, local government, scientific institutions, political representatives and the public
