Course content |
Evolution (basic principles), phylogenetics and speciation process. Hierarchy of taxonomical units. Historical overview of development of the classification approaches (evolutionary, natural, artificial) and their most famous representatives. Evolutionary origin of higher plants, adaptation to terrestrial life, telome and stellar theory. Life cycle, its evolution and comparison among each evolutionary stage. Evolutionary relationships among main taxonomical groups of higher plants and their characteristics: bryophytes (Marchantiophyta, Anthocerotophyta, Bryophyta), ancient vascular plants (Rhyniophyta, Zosterophyllophyta, Trimerophyta), ferns (Lycopodiophyta, Equisetophyta, Psilotophyta, Polypodiophyta), progymnosperms (Progymnospermophyta), gymnosperms (Lyginopteridophyta, Cycadophyta, Cycadeoideophyta, Ginkgoophyta, Pinophyta, Gnetophyta), flowering plants (Magnoliophyta). Evoluční vztahy a systém v uvedených odděleních vyšších rostlin. Přehled a charakteristika významnějších zástupců (druhů) jednotlivých systematických skupin.
