Part A: Phylogeny and Systematics of Algae 1. Introduction to biology and evolution of cyanobacteria and algae - thallus morphology, fotosynthetic pigments, storage materials, ultrastructure, reproduction, the origin of membrane systems, endosymbiotic hypothesis, the main fylogenetic groups 2. Algal systematics - the main characteristics and representatives of Cyanobacteria and supergroups Archaeplastida (Glaucophyta, Rhodophyta, Chlorophyta, Streptophyta), Excavata (Euglenophyta), Cryptophyta, Haptophyta, Alveolata (Dinophyta), Stramenopiles (Chrysophyceae, Synurophyceae Bacillariophyceae, Phaeophyceae, Eustigmatophyceae, Raphidophyceae, Xanthophyceae), Rhizaria (Chlorarachniophyta). Phylogeny of the main groups will be presented. Part B: Phylogeny and Systematics of Fungi 1. Recent systematic classification of fungi and their evolution relationships. 2. The detailed characteristic of taxonomical groups of fungi (anatomy, morphology, multiplication, life strategies), the most important representatives. 3. Phyllum Protozoa (characteristics, division: Acrasiomycota, Myxomycota, Plasmodiophoromycota). 4. Phyllum Chromista (characteristics, division: Labyrinthulomycota, Oomycota, Hyphochytriomycota). 5. Phyllum Fungi (characteristics, division: Chytridiomycota, Microsporidiomycota, Zygomycota, Ascomycota, Deuteromycota, Basidiomycota). 6. Lichenes
