Course content
Basic Principles of Inheritance, Mendelism, Quantitative Traits. Cytological Aspects of Reproduction, Allopatric Cell Division. Chromosomal Basis of Inheritance, Chromosomal Theory. Gene Linkage and Chromozomal Mapping. Sex Determination. Molecular Structure of Gene, Transmission ff Genetic Information, Replication, Transcription, Translation, Genetic Code. Regulation of Expression of Genetic Information, Reparation Mechanisms. Mutations. Gene Manipulations. Basics of Population and Evolutionary Genetics, Hardy-Weinberg Principle, Genetic Polymorphism and Stability of Populations. The Techniques of Molecular Genetics Used for Study of Genes and Gene Products, Study of Evolution.
