Course content
Theoretical acquainting with following technologies and procedures: 1. genomics, theory of the sequenation, next generation sequenation, work with sequence data, metagonomics 2. sequencing of transcriptome, microarrays 3. detection of epigenetic changes 4. work with databases, systems biology 5. proteomics and metabolomics 6. application of omics technologies in basic research, medicine and plant breeding

Learning outcomes
The aim is to make familiar students with current progress in methods and technologies of genome, transcriptome and proteome research called Omics technologies). Students obtain also information about applications of these technologies in medical and agricultural research and practice.
Students will obtain new information about modern trends of current biology focused on genetics and its utilization in practice.
