Course content
|
Practice in Biostatistics focuses on advanced statistical methods (ANOVA, log linear models, logistic regressions, GLM, GLMM). Used software: NCSS 2001, Statistica 6.0, R. The course requires knowledge in Statistics, therefore it is highly recommended to pass Biostatistics ourse before it. The course is recommended especially for students working in Ecology.

Learning outcomes
|
Practical course on more sophisticated statistical techniques (GLM, GLMM).
Student should be able to (after attending the course): - graphical presentation of data - analysing more complicated data structures including longitudinal patterns - analyse the data by using the statistical software (NCSS 2001, Statistica, R); examples and analysis of selected studies.
