Teaching within the subject Selected Issues of Family Law focuses on the following topics: The importance of family law and its position in the legal system. Origin of marriage. Marriage invalid and seeming. Rights and duties of spouses. Termination and marriage annulment. Establishment of partnership. Rights and obligations of partners. Termination and termination of partnership. Unmarried cohabitation. Rights and duties of mate and mate. Determination of parenthood. Current issues of motherhood. Presumptions of paternity. Parental responsibility. Maintenance Obligations. Institutes of substitute family care: foster care, adoption, custody. Guardianship and guardianship. Socio-legal protection. Rights of the child. Current questions of recodification. Europeanization of Czech family law. Students will acquire knowledge about the regulation of family law in the Czech Republic. The course is taught in English with a focus on the terminology of family law. Innovation of the subject was supported within the project Support of Interdisciplinary Studies and Innovation of Study Subjects at Palacký University in Olomouc CZ.1.07 / 2.2.00 / 28.0091.
Students who absolve this course gain general overview of the legal regulation of the Family law in the Czech Republic. An additional value of the course lies in the fact, that attendants of the course will gain language skills and orientation in the special English legal terminology.

Mark
It is essential that those students who would like to pass the course must have attendance within the scope set by the seminar teacher and they also must succeed in the exam.
