Learning outcomes
|
The course is a core subject forming the third pillar of the study programme focused on the development of the student's ability to present the acquired knowledge and skills, i.e. the student's professional skills and general abilities. Its main purpose is the development of the student's scientific skills, specifically focusing on the student's ability to present the acquired knowledge and skills in a scientific text and in a professional scientific forum. The course is mainly related to the Philosophical and Methodological Foundations of Law and Scientific Propaedeutics and is intended for students of the Private Law specialization. The third semester continues to develop the student's ability to present the results of his/her research at scientific conferences. During the semester, as in the second semester of the course, the student is required to choose a topic for his/her scientific paper in cooperation with his/her lecturer (to identify the problem to be solved) and to prepare his/her scientific paper in order to present it in the form of an active presentation at a scientific conference (the ability to present the found solution to the chosen problem). Active participation in the conference includes the written version of the paper and its publication in the conference proceedings. In case the conference proceedings will not be prepared, this obligation may be waived after agreement with the lecturer. Considering that this is the third year of the programme, i.e. its second to last year, the student is also required to demonstrate his/her continuous work on the dissertation in order to progress to the next year. In order to successfully complete the course, the student is required to submit to his/her lecturer a complete dissertation passage of at least 30 pages of text.
Students who have completed this course will gain the knowledge necessary to understand the features of law.
