Lecture topics: Scientific creativity and knowledge, scientific methodology and general scientific methods Scientific ideas, scientific rights, scientific infrastructure, subject and methods of legal science Scientific morality, scientific competition, scientific policy Technique of scientific work Formal and subjective requirements of students' papers- general remarks Formal and subjective requirements of students' papers: publication of papers and evaluations, legal argumentation, methodology of evaluation

Learning outcomes
|
The main objective of the course is to introduce scientific methods in the areas of law and political science, present the basic approaches to scientific text, methodology of science, processes in the scientific work and acquaint the students with basic contextual and formal requirements of the diploma thesis.
Students who have completed this course will gain basic theoretical and methodological knowledge from the area of scientific research.

The completion of this course is not conditioned upon completion of any other courses.

Seminar Work
The lecture attendance and the submission of seminar paper are required in order to receive colloquium.
