Course content
|
1. Introduction to legal information retrieval and basic functions of legal information systems. 2. Advanced techniques of working with legal regulations. 3. AI-assisted search and analysis of court decisions. 4. Searching literature, commentaries and other legal resources. 5. Introduction to artificial intelligence tools for study and legal practice. 6. Solving public law case studies using AI tools. 7. Solving private law case studies using AI tools. 8. Final solution of a complex case study with emphasis on the use of different legal systems including AI tools.

Learning outcomes
|
The course aims to provide students with comprehensive skills in the use of modern tools for searching and analysing legal information. In addition to working with traditional legal information systems such as ASPI, Codexis, Beck-online, etc. Students will learn how to use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to efficiently and quickly search for legal information as well as solve legal cases. The course will be divided into two main parts. In the first part, students will learn about the functions of legal information systems and the basics of working with AI tools, in the context of their applicability to study and legal practice. In the second part, students will apply the acquired skills to specific case studies from different areas of law. Emphasis will be placed on demonstration, interactive learning elements, independent work and practical practice of skills. Examples from legal practice will also be included.
Students who have completed this course will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the features of law.

|
Student performance
Successful completion of the course requires active participation in seminars within the scope set by the seminar leader, successful completion of the colloquium and the ability to practically apply the acquired knowledge in solving the assigned tasks.
