Learning outcomes
Professional skills course aims to strengthen the aspect of practical legal skills in the profile of graduates of the bachelor program Law in Public Administration at PF UP and thus get them ready for practical use of the law. Therefore the course will supplement substantive and procedural law courses. Teaching will focus on training of communication, presentation and analytical skills, all that in connection to their use in law. In majority, the course does not cover skills of attorneys (counselors), to the contrary, it covers specific skills of professions performed by the graduates of bachelor study programs. Within the framework of the course, the students will learn to work with law information sources, communication and presentation skills, legal argumentation, basics of professional ethics, writing the legal documents and expert legal text. During the course, an emphasis will be given to clearness of the teaching, interactivity, individual work of students and an opportunity to exercise the gained knowledge.
Students who have completed this course will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to understand the features of law.
Prerequisites
The completion of this course is not conditioned upon completion of any other courses.

Student performance

It is essential that those students who would like to pass the course must have attendance within the scope set by the seminar teacher and succeed in the colloquium.
