Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to master the diachronic approach to the evaluation of information from the field of care for individuals with hearing impairment based on the study of historical sources, including knowledge of current domestic and foreign trends in the education and training of persons with hearing impairment, including the educational care system. The content of the course includes a historical outline of the development of care for people with hearing impairment, the emergence and development of institutions providing educational, educational and social care, the contribution of important personalities in individual historical periods, the development of opinions on the nature of educational intervention depending on the preferred communication system, a discourse on access to the education of individuals with hearing impairment in the Czech countries and in the world. The course content also includes a comparison of approaches to the education of individuals with hearing impairment in the Czech Republic with current foreign trends, an analysis of the development of key competences of individuals with hearing impairment as one of the prerequisites for establishing theoretical starting points for working with individuals with hearing impairment, an overview of the development of concepts of education and training since 1945 and their reflection in the systems of institutional care in the area of ??pre-primary, primary, secondary and tertiary education.
