Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to gain an overview of the importance of sight and visual perception and the phenomenon of visual impairment, which are the primary factors influencing the nature of educational intervention for individuals with visual impairment. The content of the course includes information from the field of ophthalmology, the knowledge of which is a prerequisite for solving questions of typhoid theory and practice within the framework of a multidisciplinary approach to individuals with visual impairment, it pays attention to the anatomy of the visual analyzer, the physiological regularities of visual perception, the basics of optics and the etiology of pathological deviations in the field of vision perception. The content of the course is also to obtain an overview of the specific psychological states, processes and characteristics of the most frequent types and types of visual impairment mainly in children and adolescents. The content of the course also includes issues of legal regulation of the status of visually impaired persons in the Czech legal system. After completing the course, the student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge relevantly in his scientific research and development activities and within the framework of scientific disputation on this topic.
