Learning outcomes
The objective of the discipline is to monitor new trends in the education of persons with intellectual disability in the Czech Republic and abroad in the context of reeducation and compensatory methods. Understanding of the education of persons with intellectual disability as a lifelong process. The discipline focuses on an analysis of cognitive processes in relation to the requirement for continuous revision and extending of knowledge and skills. The specific aspects of this type of education relate to its active and receptive components. The principle of this approach is the use of leisure activities, which have an invaluable role in the education of persons with intellectual disability.
