The basic survey of the area of special education with the accent on its historical genesis. Basic orientation in the field of special education in a continuous approach to the genesis of this field with emphasis on its historical development. The basic view of special education in terms of biological, sociological, philosophical bases, new educational and training approaches for individuals with special needs. The system of institutions and services for people with special needs in the context of special educational practice.
