Learning outcomes
In addition to direct pedagogical work, practical training also includes preparation for it and indirect pedagogical activities. The aim of the study subject Expanding Internship is practical familiarization with the work of a special educator in a facility according to the chosen specialization. Practice takes place in blocks at a practical elementary school, at a special elementary school, in a rehabilitation class, as part of individual or group integration at an elementary school or in the appropriate school counseling facility or school counseling office. The student becomes familiar with the educational process, with the teaching of individual subjects, with organizational forms, with the schedule, class and pedagogical team, special pedagogical diagnostics, counseling, interventions, etc. The content focus of the internship builds on theoretical knowledge from lectures and seminars from individual special pedagogical disciplines and also allows the application of knowledge from the areas of a broader social, pedagogical and propaedeutic foundation. It continuously builds on the experience gained from previous internships and helps the student to create a more comprehensive insight into the issue and expand practical skills.
