Course content
Articulation and phonological disorders, essentials of terminology, aetiology, types of disorders, symptomatology, assessment. Principles and process of speech and language intervention. Neurologically based communicative disorders. Aphasia - terminology, aetiology, symptomatology, syndroms of aphasia, speech and language assessment and intervention, possibilities of prevention and prognosis. Alexia, agraphia, acalculia, apraxia and agrammatism. Special technical appliances and special aids in the therapy. Dysarthria - terminology, types of dysarthria, aetiology, symptomatology, speech and language assessment and intervention, possibilities of prevention and prognosis. Dysarthria at cerebral palsy. Special technical appliances and special aids in the therapy. Physiology of swallowing. Quiescent condition of organs of speech. System of Czech sounds. Physiology and sound errors. Basic methodics of construing sounds, phonems. Disorders of resonance.
