Learning outcomes
The course (taught in English by a lecturer working as a special pedagogue and drama therapist at English universities) focuses on the in-depth understanding and application of the methodology of arts-based research (ABR) through the implementation of an ABR project. The course builds on knowledge from research methodology in general, while leading students in a structured way to apply the theory in their own project, which they will implement and then analyze in a seminar paper. The course thesis: - Research methodology in expressive therapies - Theory and examples of ABR - Project management - Design and theoretical justification of projects - Review of ABR literature on selected topics - Validity, reliability, trustworthiness of ABR - ABR methods of data collection and analysis - ABR methods of presenting research results - Presentation of projects, discussions List of recommended literature and materials: DEBOTTON, A., & Armstrong, J.
