Course content
Neurologically based communicative disorders. Aphasia - terminology, aetiology, symptomatology, types of aphasia, speech and language assessment and intervention, possibilities of prevention and prognosis. Alexia, agraphia, acalculia, apraxia and agrammatism. Special technical appliances and special aids in the therapy. Dysarthria - terminology, types of dysarthria, aetiology, symptomatology, speech and language assessment and intervention, possibilities of prevention and prognosis. Dysarthria at cerebral palsy. Special technical appliances and special aids in the therapy. Other types of neurologically based communicative disorders. Clients with dementia, right hemisphere syndrome, clients with traumatic brain injury.
