Course content
Ontogenesis of speech, determinantion of early, preschool and school age of children - speech and language development. SPecific langauge disorders and impairment - symptomatology, etiology, diagnosis. Acquired neurotic mutism. Language development disorders in selected primary disability. Articulation disorder - terminology, symptomatology, etiology, diagnosis - basics. Phonetics and phonology. Phonological skills. System of Czech sounds. Speech and language examination. Basics of assessment. Articulation and phonological disorders - speech and language assessment and intervention, prevention and prognosis. Methods of construing sounds. Quiescent condition of speech organs - physiology and errors. Physiology and sound errors. Basic methodics of construing sounds, phonems.

Introduction to the speech and language therapy as an interdisciplinary science - terminology, history. Speech and language therapy, prevention,intervention.
