Course content
Basic speech and language assessment. Laterality. Types and degrees of laterality. Examinations of laterality. Recomended attitutes to left-handed children. Special skills, phonological awareness. Graphomotor, graphomotor difficulties, writing and its components. Basic elements of letters and numerals. Analysing the writing movement. Hygiene while drawing or writing. Relaxing graphomotor exercises of pre-school children. Communicative disability at childhood - stuttering, terminology, aetiology, classification - types of stuttering, syndromology. Interdisciplinary cooperation at speech and language intervention. Attitutes to children who stutter, possibilities of prevention, prognosis. Appliance aids. Speech and language disorders at clients with hearing impairment, vizual impairment, intellectual disability, physical disability, Down syndrome. Alternative and augmentative communication. Aids and technique appliance. System of Czech sounds. Quiescent condition of organs of speech. Physiology and sound errors. Basic methodics of construing sounds, phonems.
