The subject is aimed at identifying the causes leading to impaired communication skills, which are reflected in school failure and are thus the reason for setting up support measures. The causes of school failure with the need for 1st grade PO are identified by teachers and school counseling specialists (special pedagogues, in the case of pupils with 2nd-5th grade PO, the diagnosis is covered by counseling staff and the Social Security Administration (SPC for pupils with speech-language impairments). After completing the course, students will be able to define the basic diagnostic tools applied in the diagnosis of impaired communication skills, describe the most frequently used intervention (reeducation and compensation) mechanisms that are part of the education strategies of these groups of students. The content of the lesson will be the following topics: - Legislative framework in the field of organization of care for persons with SEN in the Ministry of Education. - A detailed description of the handicap, including the specific characteristics of people with NKS. - Impacts of NKS on education, including the application of individual PO areas relevant to this target group. - Diagnosis of NCDs in the Czech Republic (using diagnostic manuals ICD, ICD and DSM). - Educational system for pupils with SEN - focusing on preschool and basic education. - Advisory system for students with SEN. - Basic definition of the competences of a special pedagogue in the field of NKS diagnostics in the Czech Republic. - Diagnostic materials, their availability and reliability. Positives and negatives of the complex nature of NKS diagnostics. - Characteristics of basic diagnostic materials. - The structure of diagnostics and differential diagnostics in the area of NKS. Basic diagnostic techniques and tools. - An overview of the basic intervention procedures in the framework of supporting pupils with SEN. - Characteristics of multiple disabilities - especially in connection with hearing disabilities and mental disabilities. - Interdisciplinary cooperation in the field of care for people with NCS.
