Course content
Introduction to the speech and language therapy as an autonomous science, a study program and profession. The basic knowledge in ten fields of communicative disabilities. Basic terminology in speech and language therapy. Organization of speech and language therapy in Czech republic, speech and language therapy organization and society. Assumptions and possibilities of stumulation in speech and language development. Physiological difficulties in speech and language development. Fonation, voice beginning, possibilities of voice diserders prevention. Laterality and directionality. Special skills. Phonological awareness. Other phonological skills. Graphomotor. Terminology nad assessment of special skills, difficulties in special skills and its impact to lexia, graphia, orthographia and possibilities of special skills development. Examination of school awareness, hearing, articulation, sentence repetition. Articulation and phonological disorders, essentials of terminology, aetiology, types of disorders, symptomatology, assessment. Principles and process of speech and language intervention. Impaired speech and language development, specific language impairment, stuttering, cluttering, mutism -essentials of terminology, aetiology, types of disorders, symptomatology. Attitudes and support of communication with person with impaired speech and language development, specific language impairment, stuttering, cluttering, mutism.
