Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to provide students with basic knowledge and understanding of the field of pharmacology and clinical pharmacology, especially of children's age, with regard to the needs of their future profession. Main topics: ? The field of pharmacology, its content and activities, clinical pharmacology ? Pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, dosage forms ? Basics of rational pharmacotherapy, drug interactions, drug side effects ? Compliance and adherence, specifics of childhood ? Drug information, information sources, drug development ? Legislative standards governing the handling of medicines, over-the-counter medicines ? Alternative and complementary medicine ?
