Learning outcomes
The discipline continues and further deepens the issue of alternative or augmentative communication (AAK). Focused on theoretical knowledge related to communication, its specifics and functions with an emphasis on the target group - people with significantly impaired communication skills. Students will be introduced to selected AAK systems and their usability for people with complex communication needs. The subject will include examples of their practical use, incl. discussion of selected diagnostic aspects suitable for choosing specific AAK systems.
