The aim of the course is to provide students with basic theory and general methodology of special diagnostics, including the basic definitions of the field and related concepts, diagnostic terminology in the wider sense as background for special needs education diagnostics within the individual fields of special needs education ("-pedies"). The course also focuses on the historical development of the field, its contemporary trends and the current state, as well as the development of skills in the areas of general educational, sociological and (clinical) psychological diagnostics in the propedeutic sense in relation to special needs education diagnostics. Syllabus: " Definition of the individual types of diagnostics and terminology. " Diagnostics and diagnosis, quantitative and qualitative diagnostic approaches. " Historical development of special needs education diagnostics. " General clinical methods in special needs education diagnostics. " Test methods in special needs education diagnostics. " Obligatory diagnostics, an overview of the most common testing in school counselling facilities. " Diagnostic value of a child's drawing, stressful situations in the child's artistic expression, basic drawing tests. " Play activities in special needs education diagnostics, analysis of the results of the activity.
