Learning outcomes
|
The aim of this course is to introduce the basic concepts of psychotherapy and therapeutic possibilities in the field of Special Education. The topics discussed over the course will cover the definition of psychotherapy, the types of psychotherapy, main psychotherapeutic school and approaches; methods used within psychotherapy. The practical part of the course will focus on self-experiential activities, hands-on activities and experiential learning based on the premise that to know oneself (one´s own skills as well as limits) is the important element for successful psychotherapy. Students will get to know the principles of group dynamics and basic rules for work with groups. The content of this course covers topics from psychology of personality, and other general psychological disciplines. Student will learn the most general concepts of psychotherapy, the system of psychotherapeutic methods; and will try to use selected psychotherapeutic techniques (i.e.: CBT, family therapy, art therapy). Students will also get to know the most recent psychotherapeutic literature.
The outcomes of the subject are based on partial profile of the subject`s absolvent.
