Course content
The discipline treats the system and functioning of the counselling.

Learning outcomes
1. Definition and classification of physical disability and chronic illness in context of International Classification of Functioning, Disabilities and Health and other classifications of WHO 2. Evidence based concept in special education of people with physical disabilities and chronic illness, summary of educational methods and their research evidence ? eg. cooperative learning, peer support, assistive technologies, alternative communication, direct instructions, applied behavioral analysis, positive behavior support, arts therapies, cognitive education (FIE, conceptual learning, etc.). 3. Health care services and institutions for people with physical disabilities and chronic illness (physiotherapy, occupational therapy, prosthetics and assistive technologies, neuropsychology, etc.) 4. Psychosocial aspects of physical disabilities and chronic illness ? stress and trauma, psychosocial needs, pain, hospitalization, family of children and youths with physical disability and chronic illness.
The outcomes of the subject are based on partial profile of the subject`s absolvent.
