Aims: Aims of this course is to gain general knowledge in the field of child psychiatry with regards to meeting the needs and expectations related to future profession of the students. Topics: Introduction to psychiatry from the neurobiological theoretical perspective. Neuroatanomy, neurophysiology, functional systems of human brain. ? Basic psychiatric examination and examination methods in psychiatry. ? Prevention of psychological disorders and mental hygiene. ? Disorders of psychological development. ? Specific developmental speech disorders, motorics, and academic skills. ? Child autism ? Mental retardation ? Organic psychological disroders, dementia. Behavioural disorders and emotions with the childhood onset " First aid for bone and joint injuries (joint dislocation, fractures - open, closed, comminuted fractures) " First aid for body damage due to thermal effects (sunstroke, sunburn, burns,frostbites, body chills) First aid for electrical shock injuries. " First aid for drowning. Sudden conditions - epileptic seizures and other paroxysmal attacks, asthmatic attacks; hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia. " Sudden conditions - Myocardial infarction (MI), cerebral stroke, acute abdomen.
The outcomes of the subject are based on partial profile of the subject`s absolvent.
