Presumed competencies: Fundamentals of scientific and research activities using student's critical thinking. Student's ability to understand the specifics and differences in individual research strategies (quantitative, qualitative, mixed) and research methods / methods of cognition. Aims of the subject / students will be able to: The main aim of the discipline is to acquaint students with the essential attributes of the research methodology, to distinguish particular methods, techniques (of data collection and analysis), approaches and to equip students with the knowledge that they can apply to their own research topics and research proposals. A partial aim of the study discipline is to critically assess the suitability of applying the selected methodology and its autonomous or complementary methods and techniques, step by step be able to prepare a research proposal and defend it. Basic themes: Research methodology ? research methods ? data collections and analysis techniques. Theoretical framework and theoretical background: literature searching Conceptualization and operationalization in the process of research plan preparation, objective and aim of the research activity, study questions, research questions ? hypotheses Stages and steps of the research process: designing the research activity: conceptual phase, design and planning phase, empirical phase, analytical phase, dissemination phase Designing the study Basics of research data acquisition procedure: questionnaire, interview, observation, experiment and more Reliability, validity, practicality in research activities Ethical aspects and limits of the study.
The outcomes of the subject are based on partial profile of the subject`s absolvent.
