This subject will help the students to gain a deeper insight into these areas of special education intervention (based on the summary of evidence based methods in special and inclusive education): Alternative communication Alimentation Arts-based assessment Assistive technologies Basal stimulation Cognitive rehabilitation Cooperative learning Direct instructions Dynamic assessment Family involvement and team collaboration Formative assessment Functional-ecologic assessment methods (eg. MAPS) Methods of cognitive education (Feuerstein, Nyborg, etc.) Multi-sensorial environment Neurologic music therapy Peer-tutoring Psychomotor therapy Task analysis Universal design of learning Vibroacoustic therapy and vibroacoustic stimulation Special Education of persons with visual impairment Special Education of persons with reduced mobility Special Edcuation of persons with psychosocial disabilities Special Education of peorson with impaired communication skills Specail Education of persons with developmental learning disabilities Special Education of persons with combined disabilities Special education of highly gifted persons
