Course content
|
Students are introduced to literature of the first half of the 19th century, the Enlightenment, pre-Romanticism, Romanticism and Realism. They master the basic principles of analysis of selected literary works.

|
This course describes literature originating within the Czech 19-century nationalist movement. Important authors and literary movements are introduced.

|
Seminar Work
At least 70% attendance rate at seminars. A seminar thesis on a given topic with referencing secondary literature is a must.
