Course content
Topics: The personality of the teacher Crisis communication situations in kindergarten Verbal and non-verbal communication Assertiveness. Empathy. Discussion and its management. Written speech: principles of text construction, shortcomings in text stylization.

Learning outcomes
Upon completing the course, students should be able to: - Actively apply written and spoken communication skills, focusing on clarity and effectiveness in various professional contexts. - Analyze and reflect on their role as a teacher, especially in early childhood education, and understand the importance of communication in teaching. - Manage crisis communication situations in kindergartens, demonstrating problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. - Differentiate between verbal and non-verbal communication, and apply techniques to improve both types of communication in educational settings. - Utilize practical knowledge and techniques for effective communication to enhance their pedagogical skills and engage students. - Demonstrate the ability to participate in and lead discussions. - Explain the basic principles of argumentation and demonstrate the ability to argue effectively in spoken communication.

Course Completion Requirements: Option to choose one of the following for credit completion: a) Choose a book that has influenced you in some way. Present it to the group in a discussion (highlight the main idea; explain why others should read it; be able to respond to any questions, etc.) for approximately 15 minutes. b) Choose any activity aimed at developing communication skills in kindergarten students and present it in a way that is clear to other students (explain its goals, specific procedure, time schedule, materials needed, possible complications, etc.) for approximately 15 minutes. Requirements for ISP students: - Completion of the credit assignment. - A seminar paper of at least 3 standard pages on a selected topic (to be specified after consultation with the instructor).
