After completing the course students should be able to: Understand the Czech language as a rich and variable set of diverse resources (eg within the stratification model) that can be used for various communication goals and in different communication situations; to further develop this variability and to use it in teaching the mother tongue. To characterize individual themes of style and communication education for elementary schools. Describe the variants of the contemporary Czech language resources, know the basic style procedures and departments of each functional area, and prepare corresponding practical examples according to the individual themes of stylistic and communication education. Use the knowledge of individual functional styles and their specific features (and variability in connection with the simultaneous influence of digital media and social networks on communication) for practical teaching of communication skills (spoken and written) at elementary schools.
