The course focuses on a wide and variable range of issues in the field of media education. In several blocks it will try to introduce the following areas: 1. Media education - what is it and why is it important? (a) Task: Find out what the state of media education is in your country. 2. Media - State media, public media and private media (a) Task: Describe the media situation in your country - how do public media work, which private media are the most well-known? Are there any media controversies in your country? 3. Disinformation - A phenomenon of the 21st century (a) Task: Find well-known misinformation and false narratives in your country 4. Advertising (a) Task: Find your favorite ad and describe why it's your favorite.
