Learning outcomes
|
The course introduces international students to the basics of the Czech language needed for everyday communication. By the end of the course, students will be able to: - read Czech words and understand the Czech alphabet and pronunciation, - use common phrases in everyday situations (e.g. in a shop, restaurant, on the street, at the doctor?s office, and at the university), - introduce themselves, - participate in a simple conversation when meeting someone for the first time.

Assessment methods and criteria

Students are expected to: - actively participate in classes, - complete assigned tasks and homework, - deliver a short presentation in Czech about themselves, their hobbies and their favourite things about Olomouc and the Czech Republic.
