Learning outcomes

Course description The course is designed for international students who are beginning to learn Czech. Its main aim is to develop basic communicative competence for everyday situations during study and residence in the Czech Republic. The course focuses on pronunciation, core vocabulary, basic language patterns, listening and reading comprehension, and practical spoken interaction. Lessons are based on the first five units of the coursebook Czech Step by Step 1. Learning outcomes After completing the course, students will be able to: - pronounce common Czech words and read simple announcements; - understand short spoken, written and visual messages on familiar topics and respond appropriately; - take part in simple everyday conversations in Czech; - write short informative messages; - prepare and present a simple project on a familiar topic.
