After graduation, students should be able to: - to clarify the relationship between triviality and artistic values ??in reading children and youth and to characterize their use in the process of promoting active reading; - to analyze the genre preferences of today's pupils in the context of supporting and developing their continued interest in reading; - to assess and specify the place and possibilities of literature and reading as a means of fulfilling the values ??of the teaching objectives and supporting the positively oriented axiological system of the pupil; - to characterize the use of individual components of a fictional work in the context of support for readership and interest in valuable reading; - Assess the importance of reading and reading in a personally developing model of education and training; - to appreciate and defend the ability of adequate selection and appropriate application of the criteria when selecting text for work with pupils as a fundamental competence of a teacher of Czech language and literature; - to clarify the criteria for choosing and working with readers, to demonstrate appropriate examples with a view to supporting reading and developing readership; - to clarify the importance and specificities of school and extra-curricular reading to support and develop readership, to propose appropriate examples based on knowledge of both classical and contemporary literature for children and youth; - to analyze and specify procedures for working with fiction as a means of emotionally maturing pupils, to demonstrate the role of a literary hero in a given context; - to analyze and characterize the theme of social problems or conflicts as well as taboo topics in the intentional Czech and world literature for children and youth; - to appreciate and clarify the status and importance of a book for children and youth as a source of information and encounter with an artifact, to illustrate the links between literature and other types of art in modern culture, to demonstrate appropriate examples in this context; - recognize and define both the positive and the problematic aspects of adaptations of literary works and their perception of pupils; - design research topics in relation to the content of the subject, conceive their basic theses and methodological approach to processing.
