Course content
General characteristics of the main trends, movements, and groups from the period, as well as the periodization of Czech literature from 1945 until today. Tracing primary and secondary cultural lines in connection with political developments. Literary journals as a fundamental source of information on period literature. An outline of the history of literary scholarship, mainly in terms of criticism and the choice of who are the important personalities. Essential thematic lines of literary production, significant personalities, and works of regional literature (poetry, prose, and drama).
