Course content
The seminars focus on practice of a comprehensive analysis of a sentence and compound sentence (constituents and their relationships, relationships between sentences in compound sentences, false subordinate sentences) - applying both traditional and primarily valence syntax.

Learning outcomes
Traditional approach to syntax compared to the valency theory and to the theory of communicative acts. Comprehensive analysis of simple and composite sentences and of texts.
