Learning outcomes
The study of this field of study allows you to gain a basic but essential overview of the development of the history of European and Czech literature over an unusually broad time horizon: from the beginnings of ancient literature to to modern European national literatures, including Czech. The study schedule is based on: a) the chronological development of European and Czech literature based on the presented periodization scheme and anchored in the most important monuments of literary history; b) the basic constitutive and developmental features in the field of literary types and genres across national literatures (myth and epic, drama, lyric; historical prose, satire, heroic epic, spiritual lyric, legend, treatise, epistolography, science fiction, etc.) knowledge and knowledge of the above phenomena is connected with taking into account literary, cultural, the literary, cultural, religious and political contexts of the various epochs and the aesthetic value of the selected of works of art.Reception of the texts submitted, suggestions for additional study, analysis and interpretation of selected artistic monuments and examples of literary works.
