The state of creative writing in Czech and international education. Techniques of creative writing. Creativity, creativity and imagination. How to develop creative abilities in yourself and your future students. The three-act structure. Main and secondary character. The anti-hero. Dialogue. Intentional reader. The narrator's perspective. Plot. Resolution. Intertextuality and ideology in children's literature. The contribution of creative writing to pedagogical practice. The didactics of creative writing.

The aim of the course is to acquire and deepen the existing knowledge of creative writing and its application to the teaching of Czech language and literature at the second level of primary schools. Students will learn didactic methods of creative writing for their own future practice and develop their own literary creativity. Through their own authorial experience and reflection on the implemented activities, they will learn about the possibilities of implementing creative writing in pedagogical practice.

After finishing of the course, students should be able to: - work effectively with the creative writing method; - "read like a writer", i.e. be able to find and name the individual building blocks of a story in a literary text and understand the intention of the author(s); - give constructive feedback to others and get the most out of feedback on their own work; - plan, prepare and deliver a creative writing lesson for primary 2 pupils; - evaluate the benefits of creative writing; - apply creative writing in their teaching practice. |
