Course content
A comprehensive analysis of a sentence and compound sentence with respect to traditional and, in particular, valence and semantic syntax.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Methods of Written Work
Learning outcomes
Traditional approach to syntax compared to the valency theory and to the theory of communicative acts. Comprehensive analysis of simple and composite sentences and of texts.
Students apply acquired theoretical knowledge from the area of traditional and valence syntax in complex analysis of simple and coumpound sentence.
