After completing the course students should be able to: - to characterize the context (historical, social, artistic) in which important personalities of Czech literary science and critics were involved, - to outline the basic trends of Czech literary science and critics of the 20th century, - to characterize the specifics of thinking and writing about the literature of individual representatives, - to evaluate the contribution of prominent personalities of Czech literary science and criticisms for the development of these disciplines.
