Course content
Current themes and genres in contemporary Czech and world juvenile literature. Analysis and interpretation of writing style of prolific authors of chosen period. Deepening knowledge of literary science and interpretational skills with emphasis on communicative concept of reception of literary work.

After completing the course students should be able to: - to compare current trends in Czech and world literature for children and youth, - Comprehensively evaluate the selected work of literature for children and youth in the context of the creation of the author and the time of creation, - to properly substantiate and defend the proper interpretation of the selected title of literature for children and youth.
